Theme Post – Toys
Aug 30th, 2009 by elle
It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these, so here’s another theme post… about toys!
Okay so I’m doing another of these theme posts, because they are so much fun. They are also a good excuse for me to spend a lot of time on Ravelry.
First up I’m looking at toys that look like food. This little popcorn is just adorable, and an interesting pattern too. This milk and cookie pattern is very reminiscent of many of the cute characters of Tokidoki . These floofy cupcakes are a lot of fun, a good way to use up odds and ends of yarn.
Next up we have toys that look like anthropomorphised stuff other than animals. Yeah that’s a complicated title that just means it’s not an animal but someone put a face on it.
Stormy is the first of these patterns, and is about the cutest little angry cloud I could imagine! Weeeds is the cutest dandelion seeds I’ve ever seen, I love the Mochimochi Land patterns so much, their Grass is about the coolest thing ever, as well as Bob, which is an anthropomorphised version of a float from your toilet.
Now onto full on anthropomorphised animals! First up is this absolutely adorable, mind blowingly cute knitted Roly Poly Kitty. Next is a rather cute little bear named Henri, who sort of looks like a mole. Here is an adorable Bluebird, a pattern like to knit in brown to look like a sparrow! Now for an amphibian, a cute little frog called Mr Verde.
Now for some miscellaneous toy patterns… First up is a small Totoro, or a Chibi Totoro, who is adorable and from one of my favourite films. Next, something from a book… A Golden Snitch! How awesome is that! Now something that is a book, a book of knitting. This is an awesome project, something that would be so wonderful for babies.
There you have some awesome toys!
