More Lantern Moon needles
Oct 25th, 2009 by elle
My fiancĂ© bought me a pair of Lantern Moon needles for my birthday, and they are just lovely to knit with, so I’ve decided to buy a pair of DPNs – in spite of previously not wanting to use DPNs – from Lantern Moon as well.
I’m excited because some time this week they should turn up in the post. Of course no one near by sells them, so I’m having to buy them online, but I love getting post, so something so special in the post is even better!
I’ve got all these plans for what I want to knit with them, too, which also gives me a chance to get rid of little bits of yarn I’ve got, or the stuff that isn’t nice enough to want to actually wear. I’m going to be making up some more acorns, or mood-a-corns, as I call them. I’m also going to make bunny nuggets, monster chunks, and hams. Then there’s also the fingerless gloves I want to make.
Oh and more bookmarks! I want to make a bookmark for my mother in law, since she’s been helping out with some stuff lately, and I also want to make up more of my knitted weapon toys. I never did finish the one I was working on, which is frustrating, but that’s why I’m getting these, to encourage me to knit up so many fun things that I would otherwise not have knit, or put off because my DPNs aren’t all that great. The ones I have right now don’t even match, I think they are all slightly different. I’d say there’s one 3.75mm, two 3.5mm, and one 2.75mm… yeah, I know, that’s not great…
Anyway, today’s pattern is one that I would knit up on my new DPNs, and I’m looking forward to trying this one because I think they would be super cute! Entwined is a lovely fingerless gloves pattern, and I really like the Celtic inspired cables across the back of the hand.
