New skin-care product

It sounds sort of yuck, but I’d heard from a few places in recent times of using olive oil on one’s skin… and it actually works!
I hate feeling at all greasy, it’s really revolting to me, so that of course makes it very difficult to find a good moisturiser. I’ve had one that was really quite light, which was nice, but then that was gone, and I switched to another which is alright, but kind of stings sometimes and that just doesn’t seem right. Anyway, I was reading a thread on Ravelry about household tricks that actually work, and someone said that their mother has used olive oil as a moisturiser her entire life, and that it works really well.
Then I was watching a cooking program and the chef mentioned the same thing, so I figured I’d give it a try. Today I had washed up, and my hands were noticeably dry, and I hate that, because when you work with fabric and yarn, your skin needs to be smooth otherwise you can catch the fibres and it feels really awful. I rubbed in a tiny amount of olive oil on my hands, and they were super soft straight away! The more adversely affected dry parts of my skin weren’t completely repaired, but at least now I can start to work to get my skin through this indoor heating season in some semblance of okay.
I also noticed that it’s really not greasy… isn’t that hugely surprising!? I think so! I mean, it’s oil, and yet my hands feel less greasy than with a ‘non-greasy’ moisturiser!
I personally find that to be quite giggle worthy.
Anyway, now for a knitting pattern! It should be something to do with taking care of oneself, I think, so I decided to go with this Bathrobe. Yeah, a knitted bathrobe in cotton, 2 kilos of cotton! It would be rather nice, I think, getting around in something that weighty! Like armour!
