So after yesterday’s ordeal of pain and suffering, I’m still feeling like crap today. The migraine is almost completely gone, but there are always after effects. For example. My head still hurts very badly should I bend over. Once your head feels like this, it is amazing to notice just how many times a day you actually do need to bend over. Also, I’m very physically sensitive, so I can’t have my hair up, because it hurts, but I when it’s down it’s in my face and over-heats me.

Okay, I’ve managed to find a not-too-tight headband. Anyway, other effects. Sunlight is far too bright, even at this time of year, and I can’t look to the right without strong discomfort in my neck. But the worst part of it is that I can’t seem to do much without being tired really quickly, and without a pounding pain in the top of my head. That’s really annoying because I’ve got a whole heap of crafting that I want to do, and I’ve not got the strength to do it!

I’ve got all the fabric and notions to make both of my cute little capelettes, but no resilience to actually pin, cut, and sew them. It’s really frustrating, because now I’ve gotten to the point in my week were I am very busy, and I won’t have nearly as much time as I did in the past few days, but I couldn’t do so much of what I wanted to do then, but when I am busy I am going to want to be doing the fun craft projects I’ve got lined up.

Ah well. Here’s a knitting pattern for today. I think this little knitted hippo, called Mybootee Sock Hippo, is terribly cute! I love his fatness!

In the last three days, I’ve experienced some of the worst pain of my life…

I don’t know exactly why it came upon me, but I was sitting around enjoying some relaxing computer time, playing some games, and then all of a sudden, when I went to stand up, I had an electric spasm in my lower back on the left. That continued to happen every time I got up for the rest of the day. It was painful, but manageable, so long as I helped myself up out of chairs with the arms, and didn’t bend over.

Okay, next day, that seemed to ease off. WOOT! Right? Nope! I was walking around with a little bit of twinginess from the day before, thinking though that the worst was past. Then as I was walking into the kitchen to make some lunch, I had the worst spasm of my life in my lower back. I shouted an expletive, grabbed the sink, and stood there wincing, until the pain past. Once I could explain, I told my fiancé what had happened and stood there with tears running down my face until I could continue with what I was doing.

That was painful for the rest of the day, too. Then the next day, yesterday, I got up, and found that my upper right back and neck were in some of the worst pain I’d ever experienced. I couldn’t turn my head, and that is still causing me trouble now, nor could I, or can I, bend over without a feeling of rapidly mounting pressure in my head that is rather painful. I ended up with an awful migraine in the end, that was still lingering when I got up today, but now isn’t too bad. Almost completely gone, but I’m still light and sound sensitive. Especially sound.

So that’s what the last few days have been like for me… Great, eh?

Now for a knitting pattern. I’m a Harry Potter fan, there’s no doubt, so when I found this Broomstick Bookmark pattern, I knew it had to go up!
